Turkey: Preparing a roadmap to include other countries in the defense alliance with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan - Sarmad

(Anadolu) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that with the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense, a process has begun to establish a new architecture for security and cooperation in the region.

He made these remarks on Monday during a press conference following the first meeting of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense, which was signed between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Fidan added that the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense was built on the premise of keeping the door open for expansion.

He emphasized that “thanks to the Mecca Defense Alliance, we will witness growing consolidation of stability in the region and a decline in uncertainty.”

In his remarks, Fidan also addressed the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Fidan said that “Netanyahu, the perpetrator of genocide who has become a common enemy of humanity and of international society and security, is not a credible figure.”

He called on the international system to confront “the threat posed by Netanyahu.”
