Dr. Anwar Gargash, the UAE President’s Diplomatic Advisor, stated on Monday that a state of neither war nor peace cannot be a sustainable solution, emphasizing that what is needed today are realistic and sustainable political solutions.

In a post on his X account, Gargash clarified that a state of neither war nor peace cannot be a sustainable solution, and that the policy of targeting Gulf Arab countries and Jordan has proven to be a failure.

He added that what is required today are realistic and sustainable political solutions that address the political and economic dimensions of the crisis, beginning with de-escalation and the return of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to normalcy, leading to a more realistic approach that moves beyond the memorandum of understanding, which has failed to chart a practical and acceptable path forward.
