North Korea said on Monday that the United States’ hostile policy has not changed, and clarified that its nuclear weapons constitute an absolute guarantee of its sovereignty and that it will continue to strengthen them.

In addition, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and carried by the Korean Central News Agency said that any expectation of easing regional tensions is “meaningless,” and that North Korea’s policy toward the United States has not changed at all.
