IRGC: Supertanker hits two naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz - Sarmad

Iran’s state television reported on Monday, citing a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), that a massive tanker caught fire and came to a complete halt after striking two naval mines in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC stated that the tanker was attempting to illegally transit the waterway. It did not identify the vessel or provide any information about its crew.
The IRGC warned that other ships violating its security regulations would face the same fate, emphasizing that compliance with its rules for passage through the Strait of Hormuz is mandatory.
