Interior Ministry Launches Broad Security Operation in Qurain Markets to Crack Down on Violators and Wanted Individuals - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Security Directorate of the Al-Mubarrah Al-Kabir Governorate, carried out a large-scale security operation in the Abu Futeira Craftsman Area (Qurain Markets), as part of its ongoing efforts to enforce the rule of law and apprehend violators and wanted individuals.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said the operation involved the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, and the Public Authority for Manpower.

The statement clarified that the operation resulted in the issuance of 189 traffic violations and 42 violations by the Kuwait Municipality, the affixing of 37 notices to abandoned vehicles, the issuance of 34 violations by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the arrest of 22 individuals for expired residency permits, the issuance of 16 violations by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, the arrest of six individuals in violation of residency laws, and the detention of six wanted persons pending legal proceedings, as well as the impoundment of two vehicles for traffic violations.

It added that the necessary legal and administrative measures were taken against the violators and wanted individuals by the respective participating authorities according to their jurisdictions, and cases requiring further action were referred to the competent authorities.
