Deputy Minister of Interior: Selecting outstanding personnel to support the Coast Guard with qualified national cadres - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab, emphasized today, Sunday, the importance of applying selection criteria with precision and transparency, and of ensuring the selection of outstanding candidates to support the Coast Guard sector with qualified and trained national cadres, adhering to the highest academic and specialized standards.
This statement came from the Ministry of Interior following Major General Al-Wahab’s chairing of interviews for applicants seeking to join the officer cadet course for holders of secondary school certificates (Coast Guard specialization), which is scheduled to be held at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Ghanim Al-Ghanim Maritime Academy in the sister state of Qatar.
The statement noted that the interviews were held in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services Affairs, Major General Fawaz Al-Roumi, and the Head of the Education and Training Sector, Brigadier General Khaled Al-Humaidi, in accordance with established procedures and criteria for selecting applicants, ensuring the attraction of qualified individuals capable of pursuing maritime specialties.
It added that the interviews are part of the Ministry of Interior’s interest in preparing and qualifying national cadres and enhancing readiness in security and maritime fields, within the context of ongoing cooperation and coordination between the State of Kuwait and the State of Qatar in the areas of security education and training and the exchange of expertise, thereby strengthening the capabilities of security force members and elevating the level of specialized qualification and training.
