Britain takes disciplinary action against official who wished death on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu - Sarmad

An official in the UK Cabinet Office posted a message on Instagram expressing a wish for the death of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The senior employee wrote that she wished Netanyahu had died instead of Dolly Parton, the music star who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80, in a post that garnered more than 25,000 likes.

According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, the employee is facing disciplinary action and will be investigated because of her post.

A spokesperson for the office said: “All civil servants are bound by the Civil Service Code and social media usage rules, which set out clear guidelines for appropriate communication via personal accounts.”

The employee, who holds a senior executive position according to The Telegraph, has acknowledged responsibility for the post and will be summoned to a formal meeting soon.
