Coast Guard Launches Joint Field Operation in East Kuwait to Monitor Violations - Sarmad

The General Administration of the Coast Guard, represented by the Maritime Security Department, conducted a field operation in the East area, specifically in the Shamlan marshes, in coordination and cooperation with the Public Security, the General Fire Force, the Environmental Police Department, the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries, and the Public Authority for Environment, to monitor violations and verify the status of individuals and marine vessels at the site.

Thirty-two abandoned marine vessels were documented, paving the way for taking necessary measures against them.

Three violations were issued by the General Fire Force.

Two individuals were apprehended under abnormal conditions.

One individual with an outstanding arrest warrant was detained.

The Coast Guard stated that the participating authorities took the necessary legal and administrative measures, each within its jurisdiction.

The General Administration of the Coast Guard emphasized the continuation of its field operations in collaboration with relevant authorities to curb violations and enhance security and safety in marine and coastal areas.
