Gradual return of American diplomats to their embassies in the Middle East - Sarmad

The Associated Press reported that American diplomats and their family members have begun gradually returning to U.S. embassies in the Middle East.

The New York Times had written a few days earlier that the United States might begin this week to redeploy diplomats who had been evacuated amid the conflict with Iran to their diplomatic missions in the Middle East.

The American newspaper’s article stated: “American diplomats, and at least some of their family members, have begun returning to U.S. embassies in the Middle East.”

According to the AP, U.S. embassies in Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain announced on Friday the lifting of previously imposed restrictions.

In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum to halt hostilities, but after a period, they resumed exchanging strikes. At present, the conflict remains unresolved, but the two sides are not engaged in active fighting, and the United States is relying on economic pressure.
