Ronaldo... The All-Time Top Scorer for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Professional League - Sarmad

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has become Al-Nassr’s all-time top scorer in the Saudi Professional League, reaching 104 goals after scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Al-Taawoun in the fourth round on Friday.

The Saudi Professional League’s statistics account on the X platform posted, “A new historic milestone… Cristiano Ronaldo is Al-Nassr’s all-time top scorer in the history of the Saudi Professional League.”

The post was accompanied by an image of the Portuguese player displaying the caption “104 goals.”

Al-Arabiya network, the official broadcaster of the competition, stated that Ronaldo’s goals have come in 110 matches.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in early December 2023 and won the league title with the club last season.

Speaking to Al-Arabiya after the match, Ronaldo said, “It is a wonderful achievement. But it is not just a personal accomplishment for Cristiano. I must thank my teammates. Without them, this would have been impossible.”

He added, “But I am very happy for the fans as well, as they support me all the time. I am proud of that.”

Al-Nassr’s net was shaken early in the 11th minute when Youssef Al-Bahraoui fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that hit the crossbar, allowing Bassam Al-Harji to pounce on the rebound and slot it into the net from close range.

Coach Ange Postecoglou’s side equalized in the fifth minute of stoppage time through Samu Costa, who fired a low shot from outside the box into the net.

Five minutes into the second half, Ronaldo scored Al-Nassr’s second goal against Al-Taawoun by redirecting a close-range shot from Mohamed Simakan.

With this win, Al-Nassr achieves a perfect record after four matches, topping the table with 12 points, while Al-Taawoun remains on two points in 15th place.
