Putin: Russia is now fighting a battle for its present and future - Sarmad
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that the Russian Federation is now engaged in a battle for the country’s present and future, calling on citizens to contribute to achieving a common victory.
Speaking at the plenary session of the “Strong Ideas for a New Era” forum held in Nizhny Novgorod, Putin said, “For the country’s successful and confident development, the contribution of every individual is of great importance, whether volunteers, workers in non-governmental organizations and social sector institutions, officials and administrators, engineers and workers, and, of course, entrepreneurs.”
He added that Russia is now fighting for its present and future, urging the leveraging of expertise gained by military personnel during the special military operation to develop military and civilian technologies and related technologies.
The Russian president emphasized that the duty of the state and society is to ensure that everyone who served in the ranks of veterans of the special military operation can continue to serve the country in the fields of economy, administration, and the social sector.
Putin clarified that all regions of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, should benefit from local innovations and technologies, noting that ideas and projects proposed by the Strategic Initiatives Agency contribute to creating new growth drivers in Russian regions.
He said, “I know that you have plans to take another step forward, to look beyond the horizon of the coming decades, specifically to prepare a new edition of the Atlas of Future Civil and Military Competencies. It is an extremely ambitious and innovative task by its nature.”
Putin also tasked the Strategic Initiatives Agency with developing additional incentives to encourage business sector investments in social projects.
The “Strong Ideas for a New Era” forum, organized by the Strategic Initiatives Agency in cooperation with the Roscongress Foundation, was held on August 27 and 28 in Nizhny Novgorod.
In addition to participating in the forum’s plenary session, President Putin’s schedule in the city included inspecting new facilities, visiting automobile production lines to observe the assembly of “Volga” cars, and holding a meeting with the regional governor, Gleb Nikitin.
