Pakistan and Saudi Arabia discuss enhancing cooperation in agricultural production sectors - Sarmad

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia discussed on Friday ways to enhance cooperation in agricultural and livestock production, as well as food processing, alongside the exchange of experiences and expertise to support the sustainability of the agricultural sector and strengthen its growth capacity.

The Pakistani government stated in a press release that this came during a meeting held by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli at the Prime Minister’s Office in the federal capital, Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Pakistani Prime Minister reaffirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, noting that the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense, recently signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, has strengthened ties among the three nations and sent a message of unity and peace throughout the region.

He emphasized the need for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as strategic partners, to focus their efforts on enhancing economic and agricultural relations, transforming their longstanding relationship into a stronger, more mutually beneficial commercial and investment partnership.
