Canada responds to Trump: Lake Ontario will continue to be known by this name - Sarmad

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stressed on Thursday that Lake Ontario will retain its name, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s signing of an executive order changing it to “Lake America.”

Carney added on the X platform that the name dates back more than 400 years, predating the founding of the Canadian Confederation and the declaration of U.S. independence.
