Defense Minister Discusses Coordination and Development of Joint Cooperation Areas with Pakistani Army Chief - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salim Al-Sabah, met today, Thursday, with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that the meeting discussed existing coordination between the armed forces of the two countries, opportunities to develop areas of joint cooperation, and exchanges of views on several topics related to bilateral relations, contributing to the enhancement and development of defense cooperation between the two friendly nations.

The ministry added that the meeting, held as part of the official visit program to Pakistan, was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Khalid Al-Sharhan, and the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Islamabad, Nasser Al-Mutairi.

It was clarified that the Minister of Defense returned to the country on the evening of the same day, where he was received by the Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Eng. Hamoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and members of the Military Defense Council.
