Kuwait and Indonesia discuss expanding cooperation and supporting rural development - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Khaled Al-Yassin, said on Thursday that he discussed with Indonesian Minister of Rural and Regional Development Yandri Susanto ways to expand cooperation between the two countries, support development efforts in rural areas, and further develop bilateral relations and enhance areas of joint work in a manner that serves their mutual interests.

Ambassador Al-Yassin added in a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Minister Susanto emphasized during their meeting on Wednesday the depth of bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Indonesia.

Susanto praised Kuwaiti efforts in humanitarian and charitable work within Indonesia, noting that these efforts included the establishment of model villages, schools, health centers, and mosques, as well as the drilling of water wells and the provision of other vital services contributing to the development of rural areas.

Minister Susanto presented a certificate of appreciation to the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, expressing the Indonesian government’s gratitude for the strenuous efforts and constructive contributions made by Kuwait in the field of sustainable development and alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable groups.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Yassin highlighted Kuwait’s global leadership in relief, humanitarian, and developmental work, emphasizing Kuwait’s commitment to developing its friendly relations with the Republic of Indonesia across various fields in a manner that achieves the common interests of both countries.
