Pakistan Foreign Ministry: We are following with friendly countries the mediation efforts between Iran and the US - Sarmad

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Islamabad continues its diplomatic efforts, in coordination with friendly countries, to support mediation initiatives between Iran and the United States, and to work toward de-escalating tensions and reaching a settlement to the ongoing crisis between the two countries.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that its country is closely following, with sincerity, the mediation efforts between Iran and the United States alongside friendly nations, emphasizing continued engagement with the relevant parties to advance the resumption of dialogue and reach solutions to outstanding issues.
In this context, the Foreign Ministry clarified that Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir visited Tehran as part of efforts to advance the diplomatic track, alongside discussions on ways to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the impasse affecting navigation through the waterway.
