Tanker hit by 'unspecified projectile' in Strait of Hormuz - Sarmad

The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency announced early Thursday that a ship was hit by an “unspecified projectile,” causing a fire on board.
The agency stated that “local authorities reported that a tanker was struck by an unspecified projectile, resulting in a fire on the vessel that was later extinguished.”
The nationality of the tanker and its destination have not been identified.
Ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz have been regularly targeted since the start of the US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28.
Data showed today that maritime traffic in the main waterways of the Gulf remains weak amid ongoing stalemate between the United States and Iran, despite reports of talks between Iran and Oman concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
According to data from Kpler, traffic of bulk carrier vessels through the Strait of Hormuz rose on Wednesday compared to Tuesday, but remained below its ten-day average.
