Major General Al-Shari'an: The Public Lottery for Officers Embodies Principles of Justice and Equal Opportunity - Sarmad

(KUNA) — Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, affirmed on Wednesday that the public lottery for the admission of cadet students embodies the principles of justice, equality, and equal opportunity among all applicants, and reflects the military institution’s approach to enhancing integrity and transparency.
This statement was made in a speech by Lt. Gen. Al-Sharhan, as conveyed in a statement issued by the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces following his attendance at the public lottery conducted by the Ali Al-Salim Military College to select applicants for the 52nd cohort of cadet students holding secondary school and diploma certificates, under the patronage of Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salim Al-Sabah.
Lt. Gen. Al-Sharhan stated that the General Headquarters places great importance on consolidating the principles of justice and equality in all admission procedures, noting that the adoption of the public lottery ensures the rights of candidates according to clear, objective, and non-discriminatory controls and standards.
He congratulated the admitted students, wishing them success and achievement in their military careers, and urged them to stand alongside their fellow members of the Armed Forces in fulfilling their duties and serving the nation. He emphasized that those who were not selected still have numerous opportunities to contribute to the service of the State of Kuwait across various fields.
The statement added that the lottery proceedings, held at the Multi-Purpose Building, were attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General and Air Marshal Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with several senior commanding officers of the Army.
The General Headquarters of the Armed Forces announced that it broadcast the lottery proceedings live via its official platforms on social media.
