UAE welcomes Washington’s decision to remove Syria from the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism” - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The United Arab Emirates welcomed the decision by the United States to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from its list of state sponsors of terrorism, describing it as a positive step that supports Syria’s stability and prosperity.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the UAE’s appreciation for the efforts made by U.S. President Donald Trump to take this step, which it said would open broader horizons for revitalizing the economy, attracting investments, and enhancing Syria’s integration into the global economy, thereby contributing to consolidating security, stability, and prosperity in the country.

The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s support for all efforts aimed at realizing the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for security, stability, peaceful coexistence, and development.
