Food Authority Conducts Inspection Campaign in Hawalli, Uncovering 23 Various Violations - Sarmad

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Inspection Department of Hawalli Governorate, conducted an inspection tour of several food establishments in the governorate, resulting in the issuance of 23 diverse violations.
In a press statement on Sunday, the Authority said the tour aimed to verify the extent to which food establishments comply with applicable health regulations and requirements. It noted that the violations included employing food handlers without obtaining health certificates and employing a worker who exhibited open wounds.
The Authority added that the violations also included expired health licenses, failure to adhere to hygiene and technical health requirements, handling food under conditions that do not meet the required standards, and utilizing additional spaces that exceed the licensed area.
The Authority emphasized the continuation of its supervisory campaigns and tours of food establishments, and the taking of necessary measures against violators, which contributes to enhancing compliance with health requirements and safeguarding the safety and health of consumers.
