Pishkayan defends the "Memorandum of Understanding": The best way out of the deadlock - Sarmad

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian defended the memorandum of understanding with the United States, describing it as the best way for the country to overcome what he termed a “neither war nor peace” situation.

In a speech published on Sunday by the official Iranian news agency, IRNA, President Pezeshkian said that members of the Supreme National Security Council believe the memorandum represents the best possible agreement, based on what he described as “dignity, wisdom, and national interest.”

Pezeshkian stated, “There is not a single clause in this agreement that amounts to surrender,” adding, “The Supreme Leader sets the policies, and we will follow this path.”

Emphasizing that Tehran does not intend to back down from its adversaries, Pezeshkian linked the agreement to Iran’s economic situation, saying the country cannot attract investments amid this stalled phase.

He said, “Capital and funds are highly sensitive to risks; we must eliminate these risks.”
