Putin: Ukraine has opened the gates of hell for itself with its strikes on economic targets - Sarmad

(Royters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said in statements published on Saturday that Ukraine has opened the gates of hell upon itself with its strikes on Russian economic targets.

The Russian president added that the alleged attempt to defeat Russia in 40 days is an adventure by Kyiv and its Western backers.

He also described Russian strikes on targets in Ukraine as effective and timely, noting that they help Russian fighters on the front lines.

Putin said in an interview with Russian media: “Of course, these strikes are effective, and they come at the right time. And certainly, they help our fighters, our young men, and our heroes on the front line in carrying out their assigned combat missions.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that Ukraine openly acknowledges that the goal of its strikes is to undermine the unity of the Russian people and the cohesion of Russian society.

Putin affirmed that strikes targeting facilities in Ukraine have a direct and positive impact on the course of military operations and the achievement of desired results.

He added that strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against Ukrainian facilities disrupt the ability of Ukraine’s defense industry companies to develop their weapons.

Putin told Russian media: “These (Russian) strikes disrupt the ability to deliver equipment and ammunition and rotate personnel along the contact line. This disrupts the ability of defense industry companies to develop their weapons.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin also mentioned that the Russian army’s response to Kyiv’s strikes targeting logistics infrastructure is more impactful and destructive.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine is developing its weapons with direct participation from Western sponsors.

Putin noted that the Ukrainian economy is on the verge of collapse, including the agricultural sector.

Putin continued: “You (addressing Kyiv authorities) will receive a response in the most sensitive sectors of your economy, which, frankly, are already on the verge of collapse. This, incidentally, also applies to agricultural production, whose export is the main source of income for the Kyiv regime.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russian authorities will continue to strengthen the foundations of the Russian state and the legitimacy of power.

Russian President Vladimir Putin described current proposals regarding a settlement of the Ukrainian crisis as “unrealistic,” noting that they are unacceptable to Russia.
