Bashizhkan: Best to end the war 'today' while Iran is 'in a strong position' - Sarmad

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Friday for an end to the war with the United States “today,” while Iran is “in a position of strength.”
Pezeshkian, speaking during a meeting with doctors in Tehran, said, “It is better to end the war today, while we are in a position of strength and dignity, and as the entire world acknowledges our victory.”
He emphasized that “what was achieved during the negotiations was a significant accomplishment endorsed by the Supreme National Security Council,” adding that not “a single clause in the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States refers to surrender; all obligations pertain to the other side.”
Pezeshkian’s remarks come amid an escalating tone from Tehran. Earlier on Friday, Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that Iran’s response to any new American threats would be “devastating” and “wide-ranging.”
According to Reuters, citing local media, Abdollahi added that “the Iranian Armed Forces, with their readiness across land, sea, air, air defense, and cyberspace domains, will respond to any new threats.”
The United States and Iran announced ceasefire agreements in April and June aimed at restoring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and ending the conflict, but both collapsed rapidly.
