Turkey issued an international arrest warrant on Friday against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in connection with the Gaza flotilla.
Last April, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into the occupation’s aggression against the Global Flotilla of Resistance, which was en route to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The prosecutor’s office stated that the investigation was launched under the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and Turkey’s Code of Criminal Procedure.
The charges brought against the occupation include deprivation of liberty, hijacking and detention of vessels, theft, destruction of property, and torture.
Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ announced the request for an Interpol Red Notice against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as part of his criminal prosecution for genocide.
