Mus'ad Paul: The US is determined to cut Hezbollah's funding networks - Sarmad

Mesaad Boulus, the U.S. President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, stated that Iran is using Hezbollah to “sow chaos in the Middle East, undermine Lebanon’s sovereignty, and threaten Washington’s allies in the region.”

Boulus added in a post on the X platform that the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s decision to re-designate Hezbollah and impose sanctions on 10 individuals reflects the United States’ resolve to dismantle the group’s funding networks.

He said the sanctioned individuals are accused of transferring funds between Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and Hezbollah.

On Thursday, the United States announced new sanctions targeting what it described as a Hezbollah financing network, highlighting the group’s close ties to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps.
