Qarqash denies rumors of canceling residency permits for workers or providing financial concessions to Iran - Sarmad

The UAE’s diplomatic advisor to the President, Anwar Gargash, affirmed that rumors circulating—such as those alleging the cancellation of residency permits for workers or the provision of financial facilitations to Iran and others—are false and part of desperate media campaigns.

He stated via his account on the “X” platform on Wednesday that “certain targeted platforms are spreading false information about the UAE, while the country continues to focus its efforts on addressing regional developments and preparing for the post-crisis phase.”

He added that “the UAE’s approach is that the best response to such claims is through concrete work and achievements on the ground.”

He clarified that rumors, such as those concerning the cancellation of workers’ residency permits or the granting of financial facilitations to Iran and others, are inaccurate and constitute part of desperate media campaigns.

He emphasized that facts and tangible achievements remain stronger than rumors, and that sustained work outweighs noise.
