UAE Ministry of Defense announces thwarting of missile threat - Sarmad

The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that it had detected a missile threat against the country, affirming the readiness of its air defense systems to respond.

In a statement, the ministry said: “Air defense systems have detected a missile threat against the country. Please follow warnings and updates from official sources.”

The statement clarified that any sounds heard would be the result of air defense systems intercepting and countering the threat. The ministry reaffirmed its state of high alert and readiness to handle any threat, ensuring the protection of the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability.

In a simultaneous alert, the Ministry of the Interior urged residents to remain in safe locations.

It stated: “Air defenses are currently addressing a missile threat. Please stay in a safe place and follow warnings and updates on official channels.”
