Saudi Cabinet Approves MoU with Kuwait for Cooperation in Public-Private Partnership - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Saudi Cabinet approved on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait for cooperation in the field of public-private partnership. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari as saying in a statement that this came following a Cabinet session chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Jeddah.

On another front, the Saudi Cabinet reiterated its firm rejection of repeated Iranian attacks on commercial ships and tankers, considering such acts a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, constituting a serious violation of international laws and customs, and a blatant defiance of the UN Security Council’s resolution requiring respect for the rights and freedom of navigation of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Cabinet welcomed the beginning of the institutional and operational activation of the multinational defensive maritime alliance launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following the completion of arrangements for its bodies and organizational and planning frameworks, to inaugurate a new phase of joint work aimed at achieving full operational readiness and carrying out the tasks entrusted to it in enhancing collective maritime security, protecting freedom of navigation in sea lanes, passages, and straits, and supporting the continuity of international trade and global supply chains.
