Killed his colleague then committed suicide.. Two students killed in shooting inside a school in the Philippines - Sarmad

Two people were killed and others injured in a shooting at a high school in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines on Tuesday, before authorities declared the situation under control.

Zamboanga Mayor Chavit Singson said the two victims were students, and one of them was the shooter, noting that he used a firearm before taking his own life.

For his part, Ateneo de Zamboanga University President Ernal Andal confirmed that there was no active shooter inside the school, adding that no additional deaths or injuries had been reported.

Police had earlier reported that at least two people were injured in the shooting, while journalists at the scene said the suspect was a seventh-grade student who opened fire on victims inside a classroom.
