Erdogan to Trump: Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense Strengthens Regional Security - Sarmad

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his American counterpart, Donald Trump, that the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defense, signed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, reflects a strong stance by the three countries to achieve regional security and stability.
The Turkish Presidency stated in a press release that Erdogan and Trump discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments during a phone call, foremost among them the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defense, tensions between the United States and Iran, and the war in Gaza.
During the call, Erdogan urged Trump to continue talks with Tehran, emphasizing the need to exhaust all diplomatic means to address tensions between the United States and Iran.
The Turkish Presidency said that Erdogan expressed his hope for the continuation of negotiations and reaffirmed Turkey’s readiness to continue supporting peace efforts.
