Minister of Public Works Inspects Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge Project to Review Final Stages of Completion - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan conducted an inspection visit today, Monday, to the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project to review the final stages of completion and monitor ongoing construction works, coinciding with the opening of sections of the bridge. The Ministry of Public Works stated in a press release that the opened section of the bridge will serve traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Salmiya heading toward Road 604 (Kabd), as well as the exit for traffic coming from the Sixth Ring Road in Jahra, also heading toward Road 604 (Kabd), in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

It clarified that this visit is part of the efforts to complete the bridge project, which had been halted for about 12 years before construction and completion resumed at an accelerated pace under the Ministry of Public Works’ plans to push vital projects toward completion.

It noted that the progress in works resulted from intensified field supervision by Minister Al-Mashaan and ministry teams, along with her directives to accelerate the pace of work and fulfill execution requirements to reach the project’s final stages.

It pointed out that the project’s progress reflects the integration of government efforts and cooperation among various concerned entities, under the support and high-level guidance of the political leadership aimed at accelerating the implementation of developmental and strategic projects and enhancing the country’s infrastructure.

The Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge is considered a vital project that, upon completion, will contribute to improving traffic flow on the Sixth Ring Road and Road 604 (Kabd), raising the efficiency of the road network, and serving the residents of the area, thereby positively impacting traffic movement in the region.
