Food Authority: 40 violations recorded and 5 food facilities shut down during inspection campaigns in Al-Jahra Governorate - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Sunday that it had recorded 40 various violations in Al-Jahra Governorate, the most prominent of which was the display and marketing of food items unfit for human consumption, alongside taking the necessary legal measures against the violating establishments, including the closure of five food establishments.

In a press statement, the Authority said this came as part of its periodic supervisory campaigns, carried out by its inspection monitoring in Al-Jahra Governorate, targeting warehouses and factories within the governorate to verify their compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements approved by the Authority.

It reaffirmed its continued periodic and regular supervisory efforts across various food establishments to ensure adherence to health requirements and approved regulations, enhance food safety standards, and protect consumer health.
