Kuwait Airways signs a KD 5.8 million contract with Al-Anzima Al-Automatic Systems for digital transformation - Sarmad

(KUNA) — Kuwait Airways signed a contract today, Sunday, with Automated Systems Company for 5.8 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 18.8 million US dollars) for a three-year period to implement its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system project.
The company’s board chairman, Abdulmohsen Al-Faqean, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the signing of the contract is part of Kuwait Airways’ efforts to continue developing its digital infrastructure and updating its administrative, financial, and operational systems in line with the requirements of modern corporate governance.
Al-Faqean added that the contract represents an important strategic step in the company’s digital transformation journey, noting that the implementation of the ERP system will help unify and modernize systems within an integrated platform, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and raising the level of integration across its various sectors.
He clarified that the project will contribute to improving the accuracy and speed of data and reports, strengthening the control framework, and providing comprehensive and reliable information to support decision-making. He emphasized that the project’s significance is particularly evident given the nature of the company’s operations as the national carrier of the State of Kuwait, which operates within an integrated, round-the-clock operational environment requiring the highest levels of coordination and efficiency in resource management.
He pointed out that the new system will help develop resource, cost, procurement, inventory, and human resources management mechanisms, in addition to improving planning processes and optimizing resource utilization, thereby accelerating work completion and raising productivity and operational efficiency.
Al-Faqean stated that investing in modern digital systems and solutions is one of the core pillars in developing the company’s internal work framework, and emphasized that the project will provide a comprehensive technological foundation that helps unify procedures and data, enhance integration among departments, and support strategic and operational planning, all of which will positively reflect on the company’s performance and the quality of services provided to its customers.
He affirmed that Kuwait Airways continues to implement its development projects and digital transformation initiatives to enhance its readiness to keep pace with rapid developments in the aviation sector and to strengthen its ability to manage its operations and resources efficiently and effectively, in line with the company’s aspirations to achieve higher levels of excellence and sustainability in performance.
