Arsenal crowned FA Community Shield champions after thrashing Manchester City 3-0 - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Arsenal were crowned winners of the Community Shield after defeating Manchester City 3-0 in the match held on Sunday at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Arsenal ended the first half with a two-goal lead. Italian defender Riccardo Clavero scored the opening goal just one minute into the match, before his German teammate Kai Havertz added the second in the 28th minute.

Three minutes into the second half, Norwegian player Martin Ødegaard extended the lead with a third goal, securing an important trophy for his team ahead of the new season.

The Community Shield is an annual match played before the start of each football season, pitting the English Premier League champions against the FA Cup winners, who were recently claimed by Manchester City.
