Amiri Decree Transferring Supervision of Capital Markets to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Investment - Sarmad

(KUNA) — An emiri decree was issued today, Sunday, transferring supervision of the Capital Markets Authority to the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment. The text of the decree follows: “Decree-Law No. 130 of 2026 on transferring supervision of the Capital Markets Authority – Having reviewed the Constitution, – and the Emiri Order issued on 2 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 AH, corresponding to 10 May 2024, – and Decree-Law No. 116 of 1992 concerning administrative organization and the determination and delegation of competencies, – and Law No. 7 of 2010 concerning the establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and the regulation of securities activities, and its amendments, – and based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, – and after approval by the Council of Ministers, we have decreed as follows: Article 1 Supervision of the Capital Markets Authority is transferred to the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, who shall exercise all competencies assigned to the competent Minister in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 7 of 2010 mentioned above. Article 2 The Prime Minister and the ministers – each within their respective portfolios – shall implement this decree, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
