Eagles of Civilization: Egypt and China Conduct Joint Air Exercises - Sarmad

Chinese Ministry of Defense spokesperson Chen Xi announced on Friday that the air forces of China and Egypt will conduct joint exercises from mid-August to early September.

Chen stated at a press conference that the drills will take place in Egypt and represent the second joint training session between the two countries’ air forces under the name “Eagles of Civilization.”

The spokesperson added that the exercises will focus on air combat tactics, air superiority operations, and combat search and rescue missions, as well as force deployment training.

He noted that the joint training will continue to enhance mutual trust and traditional friendship, deepen practical cooperation between the two militaries, and contribute to regional peace and stability.

The first edition of these drills, held last April under the name “Eagles of Civilization 2025,” took place at an Egyptian air base and involved various multi-role fighter aircraft.

According to the Egyptian military spokesperson, the training featured joint sorties, planning exercises, and air combat management drills aimed at exchanging expertise and enhancing the skills of participating forces.

An Egyptian statement indicated that the training also included aerial refueling and saw participating fighter jets form an aerial display over the Pyramids, highlighting the precision and efficiency of pilots from both sides.
