US Treasury Secretary: We will impose 'unprecedented' economic measures against Iran - Sarmad

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the United States would impose unprecedented measures against Iran.

In a television interview, he stated, “Expect more announcements next week, as we will implement measures unlike any seen before in the history of economic isolation imposed on any country.”

He added, “It will be a combination of economic isolation unprecedented in the world’s experience, along with the continuation of a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, preventing any goods from entering or leaving Iranian ports.”
