Trump: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to Leave Post at End of Month - Sarmad

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her position at the end of the month to spend more time with her family.

Trump stated on his Truth Social account, “Our wonderful White House Press Secretary and one of my most trusted advisors, Karoline Leavitt, will be leaving her position at the end of this month so she can spend more time with her young children and her beautiful family.”

Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary and the youngest person to hold the position in U.S. history, announced that she would depart the Trump administration at the end of August, explaining that the decision stemmed from her desire to dedicate more time to her two children.

The 28-year-old, who had recently returned to work after giving birth to her second child in May, said she realized she could not be “the best mother her children deserve” while also meeting the time and energy demands of her role, describing her decision to leave as “bittersweet.”

Leavitt added, “Serving as White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been an honor and the adventure of a lifetime.”

Trump revealed, “Karoline will now become one of the senior external advisors and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to challenge history and secure a decisive victory in the midterm elections.”

He concluded, “She has been one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the history of the position. Thank you, Karoline, for your outstanding work!”

Leavitt joined Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and served as spokesperson for the transition team before Trump selected her to be White House Press Secretary, making her the youngest person appointed to the role.
