«Kuwait Shooting» Honors Winners of the First Championship of Training Courses - Sarmad
(KUNA) – Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi, President of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations, today on Tuesday honored the winners of the first championships of training courses that included competitions in (10-meter air rifle), (10-meter air pistol), and (archery), in cooperation with the General Authority for Youth and Sports.
In the men’s category, shooter Nasser Bursali secured first place in the 10-meter air rifle competition, while shooter Abdulwahab Al-Marzouq took first place in the 10-meter air pistol competition. Shooter Waleed Al-Mutairi won first place in the archery competition.
In the women’s category, shooter Fatima Al-Haddad claimed first place in the 10-meter air rifle competition, and shooter Rayan Al-Rashidi won first place in the 10-meter air pistol competition. Shooter Laimas Al-Hamdan took first place in the archery competition.
Speaking to the press on the occasion, Al-Otaibi said that the Kuwait Shooting Club, as usual, strives to provide opportunities for the largest number of shooters to learn the basics of the sport of shooting, as well as safety and security rules in rifle, pistol, and archery competitions.
He noted that shooting competitions will continue throughout the summer, alongside other training courses to be held in the coming period. He added that special training programs will be prepared for outstanding shooters to continue their training at the Kuwait Shooting Club and develop their performance levels.
He emphasized the importance of consolidating all efforts to achieve further accomplishments for Kuwaiti shooting at both the local and international levels, and to strengthen its presence at various sporting events.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma and to the Director General of the General Authority for Youth and Sports, Bashar Abdullah, for their commitment and support in organizing such championships on a regular basis, which contributes to promoting the sport of shooting, attracting talent, and refining skills.
He praised the efforts of the members of the Kuwait Shooting Club’s Board of Directors, as well as the participating male and female coaches, in preparing shooters and readies them for competitions during the summer, affirming that these efforts contribute to developing their performance levels and enhancing their readiness for upcoming challenges.
