State Security arrests two individuals for their contact with ISIS-affiliated elements - Sarmad

Security authorities within the Ministry of Interior, represented by the State Security Apparatus, have arrested two individuals following their contact with members of the ISIS terrorist organization and their receipt of training in the manufacture of explosives with the intent to target a place of worship belonging to one of the sects in the country.

The arrest operation was carried out as part of surveillance, investigation, and security monitoring efforts. Legal measures were taken against the two suspects, and they were referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary procedures in accordance with the law.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirms its continued efforts to monitor and track any activities that could undermine the security and safety of society, and to deal with any practices that violate the law in accordance with established legal procedures, thereby safeguarding the country’s security and the well-being of its citizens.

In this context, the Ministry of Interior urges parents to closely monitor their children, raise awareness about the dangers of engaging in any ideas, behaviors, or actions criminalized by law, and oversee their use of social media. It emphasizes the importance of strengthening family supervision and guidance, as well as instilling values of loyalty, national belonging, and respect for the law, all of which contribute to protecting young people, enhancing their awareness, and fostering their sense of responsibility toward the nation.
