SpaceX boosts Starlink network with launch of 24 satellites - Sarmad

US company SpaceX launched a new batch of 24 satellites into space, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand the Starlink network dedicated to providing satellite internet services.

The tech website Space.com reported on Sunday that a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, carrying the satellites into low Earth orbit. It noted that the rocket’s first stage returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes after launch, landing on the company’s autonomous drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.

The website added that the rocket’s upper stage continued its journey to deploy the satellites into orbit, about 61 minutes after liftoff.

The launch is part of a series of missions carried out by SpaceX to expand the Starlink constellation, one of the largest satellite networks in low Earth orbit, with the aim of enhancing and expanding the global coverage of its internet services.
