«Interior»: 12 suspects arrested in 8 different drug cases - Sarmad

The Ministry of Interior stated that the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics successfully arrested 12 suspects in eight separate cases, following a series of surveillance and investigative operations that uncovered their involvement in possessing narcotics and psychoactive substances with the intent to traffic and consume them.

The operations resulted in the seizure of 86,700 capsules of Lariqa, 940 grams of heroin, 405 grams of methamphetamine (Shabu), 100 tablets of psychoactive substances, 100 milliliters of chemical oil, 20 grams of marijuana, four glass containers holding chemical oil, and three sensitive scales.

The Ministry of Interior added that in one of the cases, in joint coordination with the General Customs Authority, one of the suspects was apprehended after receiving a shipment imported from abroad. It was discovered that the narcotics were concealed within decorative panels. Upon confrontation with the seized items, the suspect admitted to receiving instructions from an individual located outside the country to receive the shipment in exchange for a monetary payment.

It further noted that all suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
