The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the repeated attacks on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, which constitute a violation of international law and the sovereignty of territorial waters, and pose a threat to the safety of maritime navigation, as well as to the security and stability of the region.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, Oman affirmed that ongoing negotiations regarding arrangements for navigation in the Strait of Hormuz are proceeding in a positive and constructive atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of avoiding any actions that could affect these negotiations and the progress made, which takes into account the interests of all parties.
