Kuwait: We support the UAE's measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and interests - Sarmad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the reprehensible Iranian attack targeting one of the ADNOC-owned tankers as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, and a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.

The Ministry emphasized the urgent need to immediately halt all escalatory actions and to adhere to international law rules that guarantee freedom of navigation, reaffirming Kuwait’s rejection of any attack on the security and safety of maritime navigation.

The Ministry further affirmed Kuwait’s full support for the United Arab Emirates and its backing of all measures undertaken by the UAE to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and interests.
