Saudi Crown Prince, Turkish President, and Pakistani Prime Minister Lead Friday Prayer at the Grand Mosque - Sarmad

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and the President of the Republic of Turkey and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, offered Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.

Today, Friday, a joint statement was issued from the Mecca Summit on Joint Defense, which stated, “The Mecca Summit on Joint Defense was held, during which the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey, as well as a number of issues of common interest, were reviewed.”

It added that “based on the deep-rooted historical ties among the three countries, and on the bonds of Islamic brotherhood and solidarity that unite them, and drawing on shared strategic interests and close defense cooperation, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, signed the Mecca Agreement on Joint Defense. This agreement reflects the determination of the three countries to enhance their common security and to achieve peace, stability, and security in the region and the world, striving for a safe and prosperous future.”

The statement emphasized that the agreement aims to strengthen joint deterrence against any aggression, stipulating that any armed attack on any of the three countries constitutes an attack on all of them. It also focuses on developing all aspects of defense cooperation among them.
