Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Friday.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that he was greeted at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by Prince Saud bin Mishal, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region.
Yesterday, the Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted Burhanuddin Duran, head of communications at the Turkish Presidency, as saying on the Turkish social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the Turkish president would make a one-day working visit to Saudi Arabia on Friday.
He added that Erdogan was scheduled to meet, as part of the visit, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, as well as Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who arrived in Jeddah yesterday for a three-day visit to the kingdom.
