Trump: The World Would Have Faced a Catastrophe Had Iran Possessed a Nuclear Weapon - Sarmad

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the operation carried out by the United States against Iran was of paramount importance, asserting that Tehran must not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon.

Trump added, during a ceremony signing an executive order on birthright citizenship, “When the very important operation concerning Iran began, it was of critical importance, because they cannot possess a nuclear weapon; otherwise, the entire world would be exposed to destruction.”

He continued, “We will not allow that to happen. Not only us, and not just the Middle East, but the whole world would have faced catastrophe. We had no choice.”

Trump linked the operation against Iran to the decline in oil and gasoline prices in the United States, stating that oil prices are falling rapidly, and noting that gasoline has dropped below two dollars in some areas, including Iowa.

He further expressed belief that the war with Iran will end very soon, and that Iran will not endure much longer, adding that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz, while noting that this vital waterway remains “somewhat” open at present.
