National Committee for Aviation Security and Facilitation Discusses Enhancing Security Coordination and Developing Travel Facilities - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The National Committee for Aviation Security and Facilitation held its regular meeting on Thursday, chaired by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), to enhance security coordination and develop travel facilitation measures.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), PACA said the meeting discussed items on the committee’s agenda, foremost among them strengthening coordination between security agencies and entities operating at Kuwait International Airport, improving passenger facilitation, and enhancing the efficiency of security controls.
It added that the committee monitored the implementation of travel facilitation systems and requirements adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), thereby boosting the efficiency of procedures at Kuwait International Airport.
The meeting also discussed modern international treaties related to civil aviation and ways to update laws and procedures to keep pace with modern technology, while emphasizing the completion of procedures and recommendations through coordination among relevant authorities.
Attending the meeting were Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab; Commander of the General Fire Force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi; Director General of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif; and Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Fahad Al-Kharinj, alongside officials from the Ministry of Interior and PACA.
