Ministry of Health Discusses with Forensic Science Authority the Development of Forensic Medicine Services and Qualification of National Cadres - Sarmad
(KUNA) – On Thursday, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah held talks with a delegation from the General Administration of Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior, discussing ways to develop work in the field of forensic medicine and enhance programs for preparing and qualifying national medical personnel in this vital specialty, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination.
Sheikh Dr. Salman Al-Sabah stated in a press release that the two ministries are working in a spirit of teamwork to achieve shared national goals that serve the country and its citizens, contribute to the development of the specialized work system, and enhance service quality in accordance with the highest professional standards. He commended the persistent efforts made to strengthen cooperation between the two ministries.
He affirmed the Ministry’s full support for national medical personnel through scholarship and training programs and cooperation with various relevant entities, noting the continuation of the implementation of a comprehensive plan to prepare qualified national cadres in forensic medicine. This initiative aims to enhance the sustainability of this vital specialty and raise the level of professional readiness in line with best practices.
The statement noted that the delegation from the General Administration of Criminal Evidence was led by Assistant Director General of the Administration, Brigadier General Mishaari Al-Rish, and included Director of the Forensic Medicine Department, Colonel Physician Lujain Al-Rashid, and Colonel Physician Dr. Mohammed Al-Hariti.
It clarified that the meeting addressed several topics related to developing training and qualification programs in forensic medicine and enhancing integration with relevant academic and training institutions. These efforts aim to support the preparation and qualification of national competencies and keep pace with the future needs of this vital specialty.
The meeting also reviewed several developmental initiatives aimed at strengthening the training infrastructure and specialized services, expanding cooperation with relevant entities, and supporting programs designed to prepare and qualify Kuwaiti doctors. These measures are intended to enhance performance efficiency and elevate the forensic medicine system in the State of Kuwait.
