US Defense Secretary Denies Report on Shortage of Interceptor Missile Stockpile - Sarmad

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth criticized a CNN report on Tuesday that claimed US military ammunition stocks had fallen to “critically low” levels during the war with Iran, adding via the X platform that the report was false.

Hegseth focused his post on a news ticker broadcast by the network, which read: “Sources: The United States has used approximately 80% of its primary interceptor missiles in the war with Iran, and senior leaders warn that stocks have reached critically low levels.”

Hegseth wrote: “This news ticker is false,” adding, “Shame on you. We do not hate fake news media enough.”
